Snow

This is my neighbor and friend Peggy. We walk often.. Almost every day. Today we walked through slushy snow. We saw lots of things I felt should be photographed.  Enjoy.

Dear Hank Williams

A friend of mine has a new book coming out soon. It's called Dear Hank Williams.

I was one of the lucky ones who got an advanced copy. I began reading it the moment it was put in my hands I love it and I highly recommend you reading it.

I love classic country music.  I didn't always.  I grew up listening to Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Carpenters and Elvis. Country music was not my favorite.  I claimed it gave me a head ache. One of my closest friend was into horses and rodeos. I loved being with her so we compromised with radio time on our road trips. Hank Williams was one of her favorites. So I have very fond memories riding to New Orleans, Shreveport and Hammond LA listening to all the classics and learning the songs.

When Kimberly shared with me the title of her newest book I couldn't wait.  I love that her character Tate will give young readers a new look at the celebrated Hank Williams and the Louisiana Hay Ride days.  Check out her web site!

Just watching

I married a bird watcher. He can name most any bird.  He keeps our birdfeeders full so there is always birds to watch.  Our grandson loves to take my husband binoculars and look for birds. Here Ryland is sitting at my kitchen sink looking at birds and encouraging me to go feed them. I do.

Snow

I could not resist. I slipped on some shoes and took off with my camera at 6:45 a.m. and got a few shots around the house. Our dog just looked at me like I was crazy.
Yes, I am going to build a snowman as soon as I find my ski clothes. Stay tuned.

Dressed and out for some picture taking.. Will be back soon.
